Just imagine this LA summer night: You’re nestled on a blanket with friends; nomming on some succulent burgers, tacos, and barbecue; and enjoying the mesmerizing flicker of one of your favorite films on a huge ass screen.
Welcome to Street Food Cinema 2017.
This season of food+film brings almost five months of your favorite films from past and present, paired with fabulous food trucks, all packaged in the best urban parks that Los Angles has to offer.
The summer celebration kicks off on Saturday, April 29 at 5 PM in Exposition Park with a screening of the multi-award winning film “La La Land” (http://www.streetfoodcinema.com/la-la-land/).
Doors open at 5:30pm, the Band plays at 6:30pm and the movie starts at 8:30pm with Emcee Paul Hauser (Super Troopers 2, Kingdom). Special guests include composer Justin Hurwtiz and lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul of the Oscar smash hit “La La Land,” Scott Mantz “Access Hollywood” Kyle Chan from Kyle Chan Design (jewelry design for Emma Stone in “La La Land”) and Chef Jet Tila (from Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen” and “Chopped” http://chefjet.com). The award-winning Theatre 360 will perform a dance to “Someone in the Crowd” and Scott Mantz will conduct a Q&A with Justin Hurwtiz before the movie’s start at 8:30pm.
The food truck line up includes: Banh Mi in LA, Belly Bombz, Comet BBQ, Cousins Maine Lobster, Dogtown Dogs, Meat the Greek, Papa Fritz, Pico House, Royal Kebab, Sabores de Mexico, Son of a Bun, Street Kitchen LA, Ta Bom Truck, Woody’s Grill, I Love Funnel Cakes, La Puff, Apollo’s Expresso & Shave Ice, Drunken Cake Pops, Funtime Kettle Corn & more.
